Sault Ste. Marie Hostels

Known as "The Sault"(pronounced "soo"), Sault Ste Marie is located at the link between Lakes Huron and Superior. The canals here are the most active in the entire St. Lawrence Seaway system, maneuvering some 80 or more streamers each day. The Algonquin Hotel is located close to the scenic harbourfront, the museum and the art gallery. Excellent downhill skiing and world class cross-counry ski trails are also nearby. In summer, hiking, cycling, canoeing and many other outdoor activities are available. The Algoma Central Railway offes a scenic ride through the surronding wilderness past waterfalls, mountains, ravines and forests to the spectacular Agawa Canyon.
